Pierre Ross/Rosse and Julie Thiffault/Thiffaut/Thiffeau - Links Restored

1. Pierre Ross/Rosse, son of (Jean Baptiste /Thomas?) Ross/Rosse and Marie Anne Giguere. (Note: Credible online databases list the father as Thomas but I see Jean Baptiste on his marriage certificate. You’ll have to follow up on this yourself).

Pierre married Julie Thiffault/Thiffaut/Thiffeau on 20 Oct 1835 in St-Stanislas Champlain Mauricie QC CAN.  He was a farmer. Julie’s parents were Pierre Thiffault and Marguerite Bertrand dit St Arnaud. Neither spouse was able to sign the marriage certificate.

7 M vi. Thomas Ross was born on 20 Apr 1847 in St-Stanislas Champlain Mauricie QC and died circa 1854.

died in 1849.

Second Generation

2. Clovis Ross (Pierre 1).  (Note: Clovis has been mis-transcribed from original records (Ancestry.com) as Silvio and Clous).  Clovis married Marie Bourassa on 16 May 1865 in St-Tite Champlain Mauricie QC.  Marie’s parents were Edouard Bourassa and Genevieve Houle.  The marriage certificate states that Clovis is from Gentilly, Quebec.

10F ii. Marie Agnes Ross was born on 7 Sep 1868 in St-Stanislas Champlain Mauricie QC.

12F iv. Marie Annee Ross was born on 17 Jun 1872 in St-Tite Champlain Mauricie QC.

Clovis next married Zoe Veillet / Veillette on 3 Nov 1881 in Ste-Genevieve-de-Batiscan Champlain Mauricie CAN.  Zoe’s parents were Narcisse Veillet and Euphrosine St-Arnaud.

3. Alexandre Ross (Pierre 1) was born on 29 Nov 1836 in St-Stanislas Champlain Mauricie QC.  Alexandre married Marguerite Lepelle / Lahaie on 10 Sep 1855 in St-Narcisse Champlain Mauricie QC.  Marguerite’s parents were Jean Baptiste Lepelle/Lahaie and Monique Laberge

5. Pierre Hector Ross (Pierre 1) was born on 17 May 1843 in St-Stanislas Champlain Mauricie QC.  Pierre married Prudence Veillette on 8 Feb 1864 in St-Tite Champlain Mauricie QC.  Her parents were Jean Baptiste Veillette  and Angelique Lavieueur.
