Allain m. Bond, Gaspe, Quebec | Evelyn in Montreal

Query from Leslie Allain Emond:

Seeking info on Honore Henri Alain and his wife Hortense Marie Bond, from Riviere au Renard. They married in 1865. They had 11 children. I am descended from their son Desire, born in 1867. Are there any descendents in Gaspe area?  Thank You!

I’m not a descendant but here’s some information: Honore Allain, son of Joseph Allain and Henriette Samson, married Hortense Bond, daughter of John Bond and Marie Reine Rinfret/Malouin – Date: 16 Jan 1865 – Parish: St Martin – Location: Riviere au Renard, Gaspe, QC, CAN

This is one of a series of posts organized under the heading Evelyn in Montreal where I chronicle some of the work I have done with other family historians and genealogists. Some information is original to this site but some has previously appeared at Genforum, Rootsweb and other genealogy boards. I am reproducing them here as those boards are closing down in order to preserve my connections with those family researchers.

  1. Hello, I am related to the Bonds and the Despres, Dupre’ family in Riviere au Renaud. Perhaps we have something in common. Marlene
