Evelyn in Montreal: Aubin m. Ouellette, 1882, Nipissing, Ontario

Last week Joan Webster left a request (on the All Things Quebec site)  for translation help with some primary documents that she’s been analyzing.

With her permission, I’m sharing  a summary of the information we developed.

Odilon Aubin,

son of Pierre Aubin and Lucie Goulette

Celina Ouellette,

daughter of Narcisse Ouellette and Celina Alaire

Date: January 7th, 1882

Location: Ste-Anne Parish, Mattawa, Nipissing, Ontario

The marriage record states that these Aubins were from St-Luce while the Ouellettes were from St-Jean-Port-Joli.

  1. Wow, because you shared I was able to add this family and make correction to my records….Pierre Aubin is a fourth generation down from Jean Aubin Mignault dit Chatillon….Pierre’s father: Benoit Aubin dropped the Mignot/Mignault sur name and took up only the Aubin sur name….In my records I have added it back….lol. Thanks again for your posting…I always open your emails…Regards, Dave Migneault..

    • Thank you, Dave – it’s always great to go to my blog and see a comment like yours 🙂
I had actually put up this information three years ago but I have been going back and creating links between earlier and later posts so that they pop up again.
      Have a nice day,

  2. Hi!i am new to this and trying to figure out my native background. My granfather’s name was Pierre Aubin from Sturgeon Fals. He was married to Laurience Larocque. My aunt tells me we have a native Backround. Can anyone help or tell me the steps to take?
