A Festival of Postcards (5th Ed.) Quadrupeds – Call for Submissions

It’s Festival Time Again!

The next edition of A Festival of Postcards is dedicated to QUADRUPEDS.

Quadrupeds? That’s right! From working animals (like oxen and horses) to pets (like cats and dogs) to wild animals (lions and tigers and bears, oh my!) – we’re looking for postcards about anything that walks on 4 legs!

As always, feel free to play with the theme – your postcard doesn’t have to include an actual animal as long as you find a way to connect to the theme of quadrupeds.

You can showcase your postcard(s) with or without an accompanying article.

Altered mail art that incorporates – OR is inspired by – postcards  is most welcome.

Postcrossers also welcome!

Are you new to the Festival of Postcards ?

    • Great – what I’ll do is choose one to feature and refer to any others you suggest – and yes the monkey will be great for a laugh!
      Welcome to the Festival!

  5. Evelyn,

Thank you for leaving a comment on my Blog. I would like to submit my Circus cover, but do you need a high-res scan or will a web/email sized image be better? I can send either one,
or if web/email is good this link will work: http://oldpaperart.blogspot.com/2009/08/pff-5-free-mail-3-big-top_06.html

If you need it high-res, I can provide via email.

Or… do I just follow the instructions like everybody else? ;o)

    • I have answered Dave on his own blog, but for everyone’s information, you do not send me an image, I capture the image from your post, embed it in mine as a thumbnail and provide a link directly back to your site.

  6. Evelyn,

Thank you for the quick response. Can I submit more than one? I have an image of Jim Bridger on a horse that I would also make a post of so that I might submit it if that’s possible.

    • Yes, you can submit as many as you like though I may feature only one (depending on space constraints) and just mention the others. One think you might consider is interlinking your posts by listing them in the main post that is featured.
The most recent post is the one I usually feature and if you are preparing one for the Festival that would definitely be the feature post.

  7. Evelyn,

I posted one for PFF this week, and linked to the Big Top Tiger. Can you register me for the horse I rode in on? ;o)

  8. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will leave something for the October theme Quadrupeds. I haven’t been to your blog in awhile. We just took our 4th 10 day trip in 4 months. Having a ball with our RV! I am glad you liked the animal postcards I already put on the blog so will do something different.
