Gerard Theriault m. Muriel French | Evelyn in Montreal

As a follow-up to Jonathan Theriault’s query about Gerard Theriault (son of Joseph Theriault and Liliane Malo of Timmins, Ontario) who married Muriel French (daughter of Felix French and Anna Wilda Swan of Iroquois Falls) in Notre Dame Assomption Parish (Hearst, Cochrane, Ontario on October 16th, 1948), here is more information from the maternal French line.

Information 1

From the Mattawa Parish Registers, John Joseph French and Henrietta Jane Shields were married on October 13th, 1872. French’s parents appear to be – if I am deciphering it correctly – Francois French and Helena Brown.

  2. That is quite OK 🙂 I am just starting my researches, and it’s not easy. Especially on the French side. Many iroquois were given this name, and other popular surnames.
