Hi my name is Carman Vieau, I am doing a family history. Can not find too much on the Canadian side of my family. I can go back as far as Jean Baptiste Viau born 1803, M. Catherine Duranceau born 1807. They married , do not know the date, I know they moved to Trenton Ontario and that is where they both are buried. Both were born Chateauguay, Quebec. My father had told me we are part Indian {I think Mohawk] not too sure. Can you please help. My daughter is also doing her husband history seeing he is Indian from Newfoundland

    • Hi Denise,
I have been working on the genealogy on my wife’s side for several years. I think I may have data that will help you. Right now I am involved with deer hunting in northern Wisconsin and getting settled in a different cabin about 80 miles from our home so I am pretty busy. Charlotte Vieau, daughter of David Reminghus Vieau, is my wife’s grand mother. She died in 1955. Both are buried in Green Bay, WI. I will get back to you if you reply to this message.

  4. Hi to all that are listed above. I am still working on the Vieau family genealogy and am still getting data on Michel Viau, husband of Marie Ulet. Please recontact me once again. I seem to have lost touch with some of you. I have a fairly complete genealogy of this family but there could still be errors that may need correcting. Tony.
