In 1901, French Canadians Osias Beaudin and his wife Louise were living in the Sault-St-Louis census district with their children Joseph, Marie Louise, Adelard, Aurore and Bertha.

Osias had married Louise Bourdeau (daughter of Augustin Bourdeau and Marie Anne Longtin) on July 30th, 1889 in St-Francois-Xavier Mission in what was then known as Caughnawaga. Osias was the son of Francois Beaudin and Justine Livernois.
