  1. Rebecca Poirier is the Sister of my grandfather Wilfred Alfred Poirier who came to Cheboygan Michigan in the late 1800’s.

    • Wow, that’s interesting. I’m not sure if you’re aware, but in that period there was a serious lack of rich farmland (due to the large families) and that is why some French Canadians had leased land in what was then Caughnawaga. I wonder if the lack of land is why your grandfather Wilfred Alfred Poirier emmigrated to Michigan?
And do you already have your whole Poirier line done?

  2. I can’t swear I have all of the information on my Poirier’s but I do have a lot. Thrilled me to find your site. First person I noticed was Magloire. He was here at one time if I remember right stood for a Baptism I believe. My grandfather traveled back and forth quite a bit. I do have a picture of Antoine and some of his family. No females. 🙂 I am assuming they fit into your line is that correct? Would be happy to correspond with you about this.

    • No, they aren’t in my tree, this is just volunteer work I do to put up the cemeteries from this region.
I still have a queue of headstone images backed up from that cemetery.
Are Napoleon Poirier/Josephine Bourget your people? Or Avila Poirier/Agnes Bourget?
