Fifty Years Ago, Wednesday,

March 18, 1885

Grand Chief Louis Morris, “Itaiorakaron” is dead at Caughnawaga at the advanced age of 72. He had been a chief for 34 years, having been elected on December 5, 1850. His son is a well-known pilot and his grandson was one of those drowned in the Nile during the late Wolseley expedition.
