Officers and Men from M.D. 4 Are Among Repatriates Reaching Here

Another of the trains bringing men from overseas, that have been arriving almost weekly of late, came into old Bonaventure Station early yesterday morning with 21 officers and 48 other ranks for M.D. No 4. Most of the men were duty personnel or repatriates and they were met by a large number of relatives and friends despite the late hour of arrival.

…..

The other decorated warrior was Sgt. L. T. Jacobs, M.M., an Iroquois Indian from Caughnawaga who was decorated for landing near Ville Beaucage in Normandy, establishing communication lines in the face of enemy fire that killed five of the 12-man unit.
