They Passed Through Kahnawake: Edouard Bougie and Juliette Anctil

The couple Edouard and Juliette Bougie who are found living in Caughnawaga at the time of the 1921 census. might be the couple Edouard Bougie (son of Philias Bougie and Amanda Guillemet) and Juliette Anctil (daughter of Cyprien Anctil and Delima Tremblay) who were married in Notre-Dame-du Perpetual-Secours on May 21st, 1919 in Montreal.

I say might because they are the only couple I’ve found by that name at BMS2000 however I haven’t found their daughter (according to the census) in the baptismal databases so I,missing the usual corroborating clues!

    • Hello Marieve,
Thanks so much for leaving a comment!
If you ever want to add notes of your own to the post (about their life in Caughnawaga, whether they left willingly or not, or, for instance, if they kept farming in the area) that would be great!
      Have a nice day,
      Evelyn
