William Duguay & Henriette Sivret | Evelyn in Montreal

Bonny Pond asked:

I am looking for information on the parents of Henrietta (or Henriette) Sivret.I believe their names were Gideon (or Gedeon) and Mary (or Marie).

Would you have more information on them (e.g. what was Mary’s last name?)

INFORMATION

The Henriette Sivret who married William Duguay in 1888, was the daughter of Gideon Sivret (son of Georges Sivret and Appoline Chiasson) and MARIE FORBES, daughter of Joseph Forbes and Delphine/Francoise Lapierre.

CANADA CENSUS 1881
Joseph Forbes (born in Ireland) and his wife are living in Shippegan, Gloucester, New Brunswick. They had these children: Maria, Celina, George, Margaret, Thomas. I have not found the Forbes in the 1901 census.

This is one of a series of posts organized under the heading Evelyn in Montreal where I chronicle some of the work I have done with other family historians and genealogists. Some information is original to this site but some has previously appeared at Genforum, Rootsweb and other genealogy boards. I am reproducing them here as those boards are closing down in order to preserve my connections with those family researchers.
