Disappearing Valentine Cards?

ValentineYesterday I tried to find some Valentine Day cards to share with my young grandchildren. I’m talking about the little ones they’ve always had in large sheets that children would distribute at school. You had to punch them out of the cardboard.  Depending on the teacher, we sometimes had a Valentine “mailbox” in the classroom and we also made Valentine cards during art class. I remember spending a long time at the Miracle Mart choosing my favourite designs or cheesy little sayings 🙂

Well, I was really surprised this year not to find any at the local Walmart or several dollar stores where I checked but I finally found a small box at the local pharmacy.

I hope this tradition isn’t disappearing!
