Blanchard Family of Grande-Anse | New Bandon

The earliest Blanchards I have found in Grande-Anse were Jean-Baptiste Blanchard and his wife Genevieve Landry. The couple were from Caraquet  and were married there on November 23rd, 1824. His parents were Isidore Blanchard and Isabelle Leger while she was the daughter of Anselme Landry and Marie Brideau.

Their children were: Luce, Marie Adele, Francois Jean-Baptiste (m. Lucille St. Pierre, 1851), Eusebe (m. Elisabeth Legere, daughter of Joseph C. Legere and Marguerite Theriault, 1855 and then Marguerite Richardson, 1859), Lazare (m. Marie Landry, daughter of Severe Landry and Angele Chiasson, 1861), Venerande (m. Georges Degruchy, son of Thomas Degruchy and Madeleine Landry, 1857), Francoise (m. Isaie Dugas, son of Pierre Dugas and Rose Godin, 1863), Joseph (m. Marie Blanchard, 1864), Genevieve, Marie, Emilie.
