Cormier Family of Grande-Anse | New Bandon

New Brunswick Pioneers

The earliest Cormier I’ve found in Grande-Anse were Agapit Cormier (son of Damase Cormier and Marie Hache) and Agapit’s first wife Philomene Hache (daughter of Pierre Hache and Theorist Duguay, 1849) and second wife Virginie Doucet (daughter of William Doucet and Mary Deroseby (?) of Grande-Riviere, QC, 1897).

Agapit Cormier and his first wife Philomene Hache had the following children: Georges (m. Luce Legere, daughter of Luc Legere and Lucille Godin, 1901 in Maisonette), FrancoisMarie-Louise (m. Jean Louis Godin, son of Nazaire Godin and Olive Dugas, 1923), Mary Bridget,

Agapit Cormier and his second wife Virginie Doucet had the following children: Joseph Edward, Joseph William.
