When colonist Jean Beaudoin arrived in Montreal in 1638 he joined the Ste-Famille Militia and soon distinguished himself for his shooting skills. Many years later he married Charlotte Chauvin. Jean Beaudoin died in 1713 and was buried in Pointe-aux-Trembles, Quebec.
