Earliest Canadian settlers Toussaint Giroux and Marie Godard

 


 

Toussaint Giroux arrived in Canada about 1654 and was a weaver. He married Marie Godard in 1654 and the couple had twelve children. After her death, he married his second wife Therese Leblanc in 1686.
