Quebec pioneers Louis Guertin and Elisabeth LeCamus

 


 

Louis Guertin was recruited as a militiaman by Maisonneuve and de la Dauversiere tand arrived in Ville-Marie in 1653. While continuing that role, he also married Elisabeth Le Camus in 1659 and settled down as a farmer. The couple had eleven children.
