French Canadian Pioneers: The Montreuils of Quebec

November 22, 2020 - Posted by | . | , , ,

  1. Hello! I am trying to find the records for my great-great-great grandmother Mary Lalonde, she was married to Octave Montreuil in Quebec around 1860. I am trying to identify the indigenous line in our family and her records are unmapped as far as I can tell. Any help would be much appreciated! thank you, Wade

    • Hello Wade, I would normally search BMS2000 for this marriage record. I do not see an Octave Montreuil m. Mary Lalonde record there. There is only a Polycarpe Montreuil m. Mary Lalonde in 1868 (Beauharnis). Do you have more information such as their children (pref.with spouses)? Or the reason that you believe they are from Quebec? Evelyn

      • Hi Evelyn! Thank you. Here is the info I have: Octave Montreuil Born 1843 – (parents Paul Montreuil and Angelique Martin) married to Mary Lalonde (sometimes La Sone) they have three children Zeno Joseph Montreuil (wife: Nettie Marie Bruley), Joseph Montreuil (not married) and Mary Louise Montreuil (married Cyprien Casavant)
