I don’t have any personal connections to this family. This is part of a series of posts organizing information found on this site about specific surnames – in this case Lesage.
For what concerns Melinda Schwink / Shunk, I’m using the Schwink surname that is referenced on the Ontario Metis Root Ancestors project as my guide.
I’m never surprised to see these surname discrepancies 🙂 Are you a descendant and is the Shunk surname being used now?

willcox is miss spelled it is Arthur willcox was my grandfouther kerry willcox is my dad i am gerald willcox

Sorry for the delay in answering your comment. You’re 100% correct about the Willcox spelling. The surname has been listed as Wilcox because I had taken it from one of the census documents. I’ll add the The Willcox spelling in the post. Thanks, Evelyn
