In 1901, Alexandre Theodore Dorais and his wife Victorine Duranceau were living in Caughnawaga.

Theodore Dorais (son of J.B. Dorais and Marie Boursier) and Victorine Duranceau (daughter of J.B. Duranceau and Marie Pitre) had been married on August 4th, 1885 in Ste-Philomene Paris in Mercier Quebec.

INDIAN DEAD ON TRACKS

Fatality Occurred Near C.P.R. Bridge Near Caughnawaga

 

Gordon Diabo, 22 years of age, an Indian of the Caughnawaga reserve, was found dead on the railway tracks on the Caughnawaga side 200 feet south of the Canadian Pacific Railway bridge at 9:30 o’clock last night. The body was removed to the morgue where an inquest will be held. Continue reading

Walter Jubinville (son of Pierre Jubinville and Philomene Lefebvre) married Victoria Dore (daughter of Eustache Dore and Aurelie Gendron) on May 5th, 1902 in St-Joachim Parish in Chateauguay, Quebec. Witnesses were Jean Alphonse Primeau and Eustace Dore and the officiating priest was Father Chaput.
