These are recent photographs I’ve taken of headstones of the nearby Catholic Cimetière de la Paroisse Saint-Clément.  This is the older of two Catholic cemeteries in Beauharnois (Quebec) and contains remains from a still older cemetery.

Julien Riel (aka Julius Riley, Joseph) b. 11 May 1835, St Remi, Napierville. His parents: Enos Riel (Riley) & Charlotte Caille.

INFORMATION

This Julien Riel was born and baptized on May 11th, 1835 in St-Remi Parish in St-Remi, Naperville, Quebec but his parents were listed as Basil Riel and Charlotte Caille.  His godparents were Julien Riel and Appoline Caille.

In 1921, Dalvida Mallette and Amanda McCumber were living in Caughnawaga with their children Jean and Lorette. Dalvida and Amanda had been married in Ste-Brigide Parish (Montreal) on July 22nd, 1879. Dalvida’s parents were Pierre Mallette and Delphine Dejean.
