Non-Natives on Native Reserves

FAH_VoyageursWhile transcribing First People surnames for the census project, I frequently come across non-Natives who were living on Canadian Indian Reserves or other areas inhabited by First Peoples. I’ve decided to collate them into one list and this is where you’ll find it!  Unfortunately, many of the original records are close to unintelligible so, where possible I’ve cross referenced them with other written records, but it’s not always possible to find the correct surname. For that reason, this is primarily a Finding Aid so I’ve included the direct links to the Census so you can verify the information for yourself. If you’re able to correct or add to the entries I hope you’ll do so by leaving information in the comment box below. Thanks!

Evelyn
