  1. Interested in knowing if there was ever a chapel or church near the Cemetary? It appears when walking through, that the stones all face the side away from the road. Is that because there was a church at the top of the hill at one time?

    • That is an interesting question, Janet!
      I am no expert on Protestant cemeteries but you will find some information here –
      http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~qcchatea/cemeteries/chatprot/chatprot.htm
      where it mentions that there was once a church (St. Andrew’s) at that location.
      There is also a link on that page for the webmaster. I don’t know if it’s still active but your could try that.
