  • 1.  These links below are related to the AdamAdams and Adam dit Laramee surnames. I believe that most Adam dit Laramie descendants adopted the Laramee surname, but when searching in 20th century databases you’ll want to try searching with both names.
  • 2.  One line of Metis Adams descends from Englishman George Adams and his mixed-heritage wife Anne Haywood through son Joseph Adams and Elizabeth Bird, grandson Joseph Charles Adams and Harriet Johnstone, and great-grandson Percival Adams and Miriam McLeod (see below for external link to their family history).
  • 3.  The Hudson’s Bay Company Archives have biographies for 6 individuals with the Adams surname (Charles, Edward A., George, Harry Chauner, James and William Herbert). Note: These HBC service records relate to employees who worked in traditional indigenous territories and who may or may not have started mixed-heritage families.
