- 1. The Metis Nation of Ontario recognizes Frederick Ferris and Mary Ann Nancy Good as a Root Ancestor couple. Their descendants continue through their offspring: John Ferris (m. Sarah Unknown surname) and Walter Ferris (m. Annie McDonnell).
- 2. Faries is one var. of Ferris.
