    • This is where I place scattered bits of information from my Archives.
    • 1. The Algonquin Pilons descend from Abraham Pilon and his wife Marie Josephte Francois / Kakwabit / Otaianjiakwe who was from Oka. [Source: Jean-Guy Paquin].
    • 2. These Pilons (and/or their spouses) took part in the 1885 Resistance: Alexandre Pilon, Cecile Pilon (m. Gregoire Sakaban dit Lejour), Joseph Pilon (m. Angelique Normand), Joseph Pilon Jr., Marie Pilon (m. Alexis Lamirande) and Raymond Barthelemy (m. Christine Dumas). The 1885 North-West Resistance by the Metis and the Cree, Kainai, Piikani, Saulteaux and Siksika peoples took place against a backdrop of starvation, broken treaties and encroachment by new settlers in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
