    • Thank you Ms. Judy Rice, for sharing your amazing family photos and history with us!!
According to my family tree (on my paternal side), my ancestors are connected to the Rice family members who were brought to Oka, Deux-Montagnes, Québec and then married indigenous people (Mohawks). So being able to just see some photographs and put faces to names in my family tree means a lot to me, and it’s greatly appreciate. 🤗💙

  2. Greetings, Judy. I have a question, if you can give me some guidance or other assistance.

I’m interested in finding any connections I may have to other Rices, especially Native Americans. For a long time I’ve been drawn to aspects of N.A. culture, especially the links between spirituality and nature.

I’ve done some research into my ancestry and got as far as my paternal grandfather, Clarence Earl Rice, and his wife, Irene J. Bratz.

      • Hi Judy,
Was Mary Josephine also known as Mary Josephine Basile Brousseau Lafleur Cook? Her father was pioneer Basil Brousseau dit Lafleur Jr., and his father was a dairyman for HBC also by the name of Bazil Brousseau dit Lafleur – all mainly from Langley, British Columbia, Canada (Bazil Sr. Originally was from Québec I believe)? I’m related to Mary Josephine and her family, and also have many of the French surnames you mentioned in my family tree (Belleville, Provencher, Boisvert, Joyal, Lefevre).
I am related to Delphis Thibaut and Emma Scholastique Rice, as well as Camille D’Amour.
Now I’m even more curious and intrigued, and will have to do further research on my paternal family tree! 😊

  5. Not from Canada, I was born in New Hampshire, my mom’s side are from Quebec. My dad was in the military so we moved all over. I ended up in near Boulder, Colorado. I bookmarked Family Search under Collections so I get on pretty often. I love working on the family history, so many incredible lives,I am so humbled.
